Carolyn and I have been dreaming about the Royal Wedding since Will and Kate’s engagement in November, so you can imagine our excitement yesterday! We prepared for the regal occasion with foods and drinks with British themes. We woke up at 3:30 am to watch the occasion right from the very beginning!

We had a fun filled day planned from the wee hours of the morning to far after the champagne toast had been given. We were so excited to share in this joyous union of marriage. What we were even more excited to see was the fashions that it would bring! Who would design Catherine’s dress? What would Pippa wear? What guests would be wearing the best hat? Every question was answered, and they did not disappoint!

When Catherine stepped out of her car, Carolyn gasped and I cried at the sight of her Sarah Burton Wedding Dress. Wondering who Sarah Burton is? She is the creative director of Alexander McQueen. Sound familiar? Of course it does. We have mentioned the label in numerous posts! We are big fans!

You may be thinking, sure the royals looked great but what did your favorite Hidden Gems wear for the joyous occassion?!

We began with pj’s, fasionators, and our replica sapphire rings…

We followed this with a trip to Newbury Street to sip on some iced tea to comemerate this special day. Here we are at Stephanie’s on Newbury honoring some of Kate’s looks.

We were not the only ones celebrating in Boston! Many stores including Hotel Chocolat and Jack Wills were decorated inside and out in honor of Wills and Kate!

Like most of my peers, I am constantly looking for a great clutch to use when going out. The criteria: something that will hold the smartphone of choice, lipgloss, ID’s and cash. If you have had bad experiences with other clutches in the past you may be looking for one with some sort of steady closure. Alexander McQueen’s Skull Knuckle Duster. I know it sounds a bit intense, but intriguing.

It comes in a variety of fabrics and designs to match every outfit. This is not just your regular clutch ladies. It has four open loops for your fingers, allowing you to carry it all night with ease. The tops of these loops are embellished with skulls and gems; hence the name “Skull Knuckle Duster.” This is one fierce clutch! I saw it in the window of the Alexander McQueen NY store during last years fashion week and have been pining for it ever since. There was just something so intriguing about this beautiful yet edgy gem.

You may be thinking to yourself, “Have I seen this before?” Maybe on Jessica Seinfeld, Kim Kardashian, Stephanie Pratt,and the list goes on.

So you can imagine my surprise when I spotted a replica at Marshalls in Burlington, Ma! Sure it did not have all the skulls and gems on it but the design was a good match for me. Carolyn and I both purchased the! I got a silver-tone and Carolyn’s is a goldish-tone. We intend on brainstorming and perhaps adding a little skull candy of our own to them. You have to love a custom clutch!

Spring is all about the bright colors and florals, but don’t forget about our beloved neutrals! I am all for a flowery sundress, but I do love a nice charcoal grey mixed in! I found some GORGEOUS pants by Theyskens Theory at TJ’s! They are made from a stretchy material and are very comfortable. Not sloppy comfortable, chic comfortable. And the ways to wear them are endless!

I wore my delicious Theory slacks to the Catherine Malandrino Fall 2011 show. I paired them with a shimmery, charcoal, lace top (that my tailor scultped beautifully), and some sparkaly silver shoes!

I snagged these angels from Nordstroms and they definitely complement my outfit quite well!

Have a look at Theyskens Theory Spring 2011 Collection. So many fabulous fitted pants! They can be worn so many different places! Throw them on for a weekend shopping trip or even sport them at the office! Although I don’t think I would wear the whole ensemble in picture four to the office. I mean, a bare midriff might be a bit much while sending emails in your cubicle, but I do enjoy them as separates!
